Elaine Lewey

Elaine Lewey, 84, of Raymond, died Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Hillsboro Rehab and Health Care.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at Raymond Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to services. The Rev. Kenneth Spires and the Rev. Robert Mosser will officiate with burial in Raymond City Cemetery.

Hough Funeral Home in Raymond is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Lewey was born April 28, 1926, in Chicago to the late Mary (Sullivan) Hiller. She married Cleo "Creaky" Lewey on Dec. 23, 1945, and he preceded her in death.

A member of Raymond Baptist Church, she operated the Raymond bowling alley snack bar until she retired in 1973.

Mrs. Lewey is survived by two daughters, Donna (husband Bob) Elliott and Sherry Lewey, all of Raymond; a son, Joey Dean Lewey of Jacksonville; five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Hugo Hiller, and four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Raymond Baptist Church or Raymond-Harvel Ambulance.
