Marion J. Held, 81
Marion J. Held, 81, of Raymond, died Monday, Jan. 24,
2011, at 4:20 p.m. at Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in
Hillsboro.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, at
Hough Funeral Home in Raymond. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m.
Saturday, Jan. 29, at St. Raymond's Catholic Church in Raymond. Burial
will be at St. Raymond's Catholic Cemetery in Raymond.
Born Sept.
12, 1929, at Hillsboro, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and
Edna (Nagle) Mizera. She married James B. Held May 6, 1948, at St.
Raymond Catholic Church, Raymond. He preceded her in death Feb. 15,
2009.
Mrs. Held graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1947. She
and her husband were farmers in Butler Grove Township until their
retirement. She worked at the Hillsboro Senior Center, Mizera's Market,
Turtle Creek Nursing Homes as the activities director, and completed her
career at Shoal Creek Golf Course in Raymond.
She was a member
of St. Raymond's Catholic Church where she was an organist/choir
director. She will also be remembered for her devotion and dedication to
music worship at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro.
Survivors
include two daughters, Donna (husband Gene)Ruehrup of Staunton, and
Barbara Glover (husband Robert Carr) of Mattoon; one grandson, Lance
Glover of Mattoon; two brothers, Joe (wife Mary Ag) Mizera of Raymond,
and Hans (wife Shirley) Mizera of Litchfield; and two sisters-in-law,
farming partner, Mary Held of Raymond, and Virginia Mizera of Denton,
TX; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Gregory Held and Stephen Held; and two brothers, David T. Mizera and Tom Mizera.
Memorials
may be given to the St. Raymond Catholic Church Choir or to the
activities department at Montgomery County Nursing & Rehabilitation
