Beverly 'Joan' Collins, 65

Beverly "Joan" Collins, 65, of Hillsboro, died at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at St. John's Hospital, Springfield. Cremation rites have been accorded and remains will be buried at a later date.

Born June 16, 1945, at Swifton, AR, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Nova Kinder. She married Larry Leon Collins Nov. 12, 1961, at Jackson County, AR. He survives.

The couple have resided in Taylor Springs and Hillsboro all their adult life and are the owners and operators of Trails End Bar and Grill at Taylor Springs.

Survivors include two children, Terri (husband Ollie) Wright of Decatur, Charles (wife Tracy) Collins of Hillsboro; five grandchildren, Stasia "Niki" (Collins) Weiss, Andrew Collins, Paige Collins, Jacob Wright and Kayla Wright; two great-grandchildren, Pacey Collins and Samantha Weiss; and six siblings, Barbra Scott, Bobby Kinder, Brenda Smith, Mitchell Kinder and Janice Johnson all of Arkansas, and Rosemary Kozelka of Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Ada Smith.

Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
