Temple Hough, 96
Temple Irene Wilson Hough, 96, of Raymond, died at
5:20 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at Montgomery Nursing &
Rehabilitation Center in Taylor Springs.
Visitation will be from
3-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, at the St. Raymond Catholic Church in Raymond.
Funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at St. Raymond
Catholic Church with the Rev. Jerry Bunse officiating. Burial will be in
St. Raymond Cemetery.
Mrs. Hough was born on March 24, 1914, in rural Harvel to the late William and Emma (Walch) Wilson.
She
attended Lone Elm School and was a graduate of Harvel High School. She
married Robert A. Hough on Sept. 5, 1936, and he preceded her in March
2003.
She later graduated from the School of Beauty in Decatur as
a licensed beautician and in June 1960 became a licensed funeral
director. She and her husband ran an ambulance service in Raymond and
Hough Funeral Homes in Raymond, Farmersville, Morrisonville, and
Hillsboro for many years.
She was a member of the St. Raymond Catholic Church in Raymond, O.E.S. Herman Chapter, St. Raymond CCW, Red Hats, and I.F.D.A.
Mrs.
Hough is survived by two daughters, Dee (husband Dennis) Williams of
Raymond, and Janet (husband Gary) Held of Morrisonville; grandchildren
Danny Hough of Raymond, David (wife Karen) Hough of Hillsboro, Chad
(wife Andrea) Williams of Tolono, Christi (husband Tom) Mulligan of
Riverton, Garrett (fiance Nicki) Zipprich of Raymond, Jodi Stewart of
Tremont, Justin Held of Morrisonville, and Damon Held of Auburn; 14
great-grandchildren; and one brother, Howard Wilson of Springfield.
In
addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a
daughter, Nancy Hough, on Nov. 18, 1951, in infancy, and a son, William
Hough, on Sept. 13, 2005.
Memorial contributions may be given to
the Robert and Temple Hough Nursing Scholarship, or to Shriners
Hospital for Crippled Children.
