Alva Jack Bailey Jr. 72 of Hillsboro passed away Feb. 24, 2017 at Hillsboro rehab and health care center in Hillsboro.

He was born May 8, 1944 in Hillsboro to Alva Jack L. and Bessie (Chumley) Bailey Sr.

He was a veteran in the U.S. Army and National Guard, a mason and a life time member of the AMVETS post 16 in Litchfield.

He Retired from ASARCO in Taylor springs after 30 years.

He is survived by his children Teri Altpeter of Chicago, Judy Kanak of Chicago, Chad Jett of Nokomis, Jeff Bailey of Litchfield , Jackie Bailey of Hillsboro and Heather Taylor of Irving 16 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 3 sisters Sandra Rhodes of Irving, Barbara Snider of Fillmore and Diana Odle of Litchfield.

Friends and family can meet for a graveside memorial service on Friday March 3, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.
