Carl Dean Jackson 73 of Litchfield passed away May 4, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.

He was born Oct 31, 1942 in Nokomis to Carl and Juanita (Davis) Jackson.

He was a graduate of Litchfield High School in 1960 and National Barber College of Springfield.

He worked for 31 years in Monterey Coal Mine and he barbered in Raymond and Litchfield.

He was in the Illinois National Guard.

He married Marsha Harmon on May 17, 1963.

He is survived by his wife Marsha and four sons Jacob “Jake” Jackson of Springfield MO, Ryan wife Olga Jackson of Butler, Justin Jackson of Litchfield and Jared wife Michelle Jackson of Pinckneyville, 11 grandchildren. He is survived by two brothers James wife Linda Jackson of Litchfield and William wife Nancy Jackson of Butler and one sister Carla husband Robbie Robinson of CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Rose Taylor and her husband Russell.

He was a member World Harvest Church of Hillsboro and LRM ministries of Litchfield where he was on the board of directors for over 30 years.

He had been on mission trips to Russia, China, El Salvador, Mexico, Nicaragua and Guatemala.

He loved his grandchildren and loved to fish and hunt.

Funeral services will be on Sat May 7th at 12:00 P.M. at the All nations worship center in Sunshine Park in Litchfield with Minister Ryan Jackson and Pastor Kenneth Vallelonga officiating.

Visitation will be from 10 until service time on Saturday at the worship center.

Burial will be in Edgewood cemetery in Litchfield with full military rites.

Memorials can be made to the World Harvest Church, LRM missions or MCCA.

Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of local arrangements.
