Cynthia A. Douglas, 59 of Springfield passed away Aug. 25, 2016 in Springfield.

She was born Aug. 21, 1957 in Metropolis IL to William “Bill” and Patsy (Penrod) Douglas.

She was a graduate of Litchfield High School.

She had worked at Hillsboro Hospital. She loved the Cubs and her teddy bears.

She is survived by her mother Patsy and 2 brothers William H. (Tessie) Douglas of Winnemucca NV and Harold L (Shelly) Douglas of Gillespie, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services will be Tuesday August 30, 2016 at 12:00 P.M. at Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. Jeff Hemken pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro officiating, visitation will start at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Memorials can be directed to the Special Olympics.

Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
