Doris Mae Fuchs, age 93, of Springfield but formerly of Farmersville, passed away at 7:05am on Nov. 15, 2017 at Regency Care in Springfield.

Doris was born Sep. 2, 1924, in Mt. Olive IL, She was the daughter of the late Theodore and Edna Tschorn Pahde.  

She married Vernon Fuchs on Nov. 21, 1952; he preceded her in death in 1996.

Doris was Homemaker and Farmwife she love cook, bake and sew for her family and friends

Doris was a member of the Zion Evangelical Church in Farmersville and a member of the LWML

She is survived by a daughter Julia (Rick) Sunley of Springfield. Two sons Daryl (Mary) Fuchs of Butler, and Glenn (Julie-Ann) Fuchs of Kaneville, IL. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren Maggie Neeley, Jon Fuchs, Ryan Fuchs, Kevin Fuchs, and Abby Morrow and a great grand daughter Madeline Mae Sunley. Several Neices and Nephews and a sister in law Aileen Schmidt of Litchfield, IL. Beside her parents and husband, two brothers and a grandson, Adam Sunley preceded her in death 

Memorials may be left to the Church in Farmersville or the Alzheimer’s foundation

The Family would like to thank the staff at  Regency Care and Memorial Hospice for the excellent care that was given to Doris.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday Nov. 18 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church

With Dr. Micheal Strong officiating.  Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30am to 11:30am. on the day of the service . Burial will be held at Rovey Cemetery in Farmersville.

Hough Funeral Home in Raymond is in charge of arrangements.
