Dorothy (Hampton) Wilson 85 of Butler passed away Sunday at her residence.

She was born On May 7, 1931 in Litchfield to Harold E. Sr. and Irene M. (Clark) Hampton.

She worked as a telephone operator in Litchfield retiring in 1986. She loved to dance and quilt. She was a member to the Butler Guild and she taught Sunday school. She was a member of the Christian Church in Litchfield.

She was married to Edward E. Wilson they later divorced. She is preceded in death by her companion of over33 years Leon Bud Beeler.

She is survived by two daughters Debbie husband Sam Beeler of Butler and Karen Hampton of Litchfield, 12 grandchildren Veronica Groom, Victoria (Vicki) Spinner, Vanessa Pace, Ilona Newberry, Joseph Wilson Jr, Tara Billington, Michael Wilson, Dennis Wilson Jr., Ira Wilson, Buryl Wilson, Heather Thibodaux and Brandi Marten, 23 great grandchildren and several Nieces and nephews. Also surviving are four Brothers Harold “Jr” wife Joann Hampton, Maynard “Butch” wife Brenda Hampton, Richard wife Gwen Hampton and William wife Valdine Hampton and two sisters Janet husband Mike Stockamp and Linda husband Wayne Budd.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward, companion Bud two sons Joseph Wilson Sr. and Dennis Wilson Sr. one daughter Sharon Clark one great granddaughter Brianna Groom and three sisters Marion Brown, Betty Davee and Mildred Jackson

Visitation will be Tuesday March 21, 2017 from 4-8 P.M. at Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Funeral service will be Wednesday March 22, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. Randy Sands, Pastor of The Free Methodist Church in Hillsboro officiating.

Burial will be Elm lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.
