Eugene “Gene” C. Hogue 82 of Litchfield passed away Aug. 16, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital.

He was born Oct. 22, 1933 in Louisville KY to John W. and Anthia (Neighbors) Hogue.

He was a retired police officer.

He married Joyce Strasser and she survives.

He is also survived by his children Bonnie Clark of Litchfield, Debbie Tooley of Tucson AZ, Sonny Hogue of Litchfield, Mark Hogue of Litchfield, Scott Hogue of Litchfield, K.C. Strasser of Litchfield and Carrie Schlechte of Benton KY and several Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parent’s one grandchild and two brothers Anthony and Maurice Hogue.

He was a past member of the Illinois Sheriffs association.

funeral service will be at 12:00 P.M. with a visitation starting at 10:00 A.M. at Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
