George R. Hough age 68, of Raymond, passed away at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield on February 16, 2017.

He was born Dec. 21, 1948 in Litchfield, the son of the late John Phillip and Dorothy Ruth Haarstick Hough.

He worked as a licensed plumber and was Owner Hough Plumbing for over 40 yrs.

 He was a veteran of the US Army.

George belongs to the American legion Post 299 in Raymond;   He enjoyed Fishing, Bowling, and was a Member of the Montgomery Co DU Committee.

He was a member of the Raymond- Harvel Fire Dept. for over 25 yrs. and St. Raymond K of C 4696.

He married Karen O’Brien on Nov. 12, 2002 and she survives.

Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter Kristina (Bob) Lane of Peoria Heights, IL and Grand Daughter Matilda Lane.

He is also survived by 3 sisters; Pat (Larry) Goyke of Union Grove, WI, Theresa (Jim) Rogers of Witt, and Sheila (Mike) Masten of Raymond also surviving are 4 nephews and 3 nieces, one sister in law Janet Christer of Raymond.

A Celebration of Life Gathering and Meal will be held on Mar 4, 2017 at the Living Center in Raymond from 4-6pm Besides his parents a brother Michael preceded him in death.
