Joan R. Beckwith age 78 of Irving, but formally of Staunton died Saturday, October 15 2016 at 1:30 pm at Hillsboro Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Hillsboro.

She was born on Nov. 8, 1937 in Alton IL, the daughter of Victor and Hilda Meisner Crain.

She loved spending time with her Grand Children, as they were the center of her life, she also enjoyed sewing.

Survivors include a son Chad (Natasha) Beckwith of Gillespie and three grandchildren, Ruby Joan Beckwith of Holiday Shores, Barbara Ann Kempernolte of Staunton and Tyrion Edward Beckwith of Irving

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by 3 sister Jeanette Woods, Eleanor Fowler, Maxine Harris and 4 brothers; Glenn Crain, Victor Crain Jr., Tom Crain, and Bill Crain.

Memorials may be left to a mental health group of the donor’s choice or to the family to help with final expenses.

Services will be held later.

Hough’s Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family.
