John F. Jeffers 66 of Butler passed away Sept 6 2017 at his residence. He was born April 3, 1951 in Litchfield IL to Claude and Martha (Tyler) Jeffers. He was a welder for Ideal in White City and a set-up man at Quality Patricians in Litchfield and worked maintenance for the City of Butler. He married Diane Frillman on May 10, 1986 and she survives. He is survived by 4 daughters Donna Thompson of Ark, Lisa (Donnie) Roller of Raymond Wendy Wilhelm of MO., Patricia (Kevin) Catalano of Butler and two sons Steve Jeffers of Raymond and Kenny (companion Makayla) Ryan of TX., 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Surviving are 9 siblings Bob, Chas, Harold Jeffers, Phyllis Jett, Claudette Jett, Ada Lane, Ruth Ann Cooper, Ruby Forrest and Maggie Scott. He was preceded in death by one daughter Brenda Jeffers nephew Jeff Jeffers siblings Patty Janssen, Marilee Jeffers, Cecelia Tyler and Andy Jeffers and son in law John Wilhelm and one great grandbaby. He belonged to the South Side church in Litchfield, He enjoyed Camping, Fishing, roller skating and helping others to become self-sufficient. Memorials can be directed to the John Jeffers family. Funeral service will be Saturday Sept 9 2017 at 3:00 P.M. with a visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. at Hough & sons funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rem Dyas officiating. Private family burial will be at a later date.
