Karl Emery Hobson, of Girard formally of Farmersville, died at 11:10pm a.m. at Pleasant Hill Village in Girard on July 15, 2016. He was born in Farmersville, on April 11, 1938; a son of the late Leo and Emma Cutter Hobson.

He married Jeanette Welge in Waggoner in 1959 and she survives.

Karl drove a truck for 50 yrs at the Farmersville Elevator. He was a past member of the Farmersville/Waggoner Fire Dept. He enjoyed WWE Wrestling and auto racing. He is survived by a son, Karl (Cindy) Hobson of Virden and daughters; Kathy Miller of Biloxi Mississippi and Karen Mark Hoffman of Englewood, FL. Grandchildren Zachary Price, Elijah Price, Erikka Miller, Jordan Watson, Karrie Hoffman and Grace Hoffman and great grand children Cloe Price Levi Price and Haydyn Watson

Also surviving are; brothers, George Hobson and Ralph Hobson, both of Famersville; a sister, Ina Mae McCune of Joliet. Preceding him in death were brothers, Charles Hobson, Norman “Ike” Hobson, Leroy Hobson, Tom Hobson and Robert Hobson, Darold Hobson, Dale Hobson.

Services for Mr. Hobson will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2015 at 10:00 am at Hough Funeral Home in Farmersville. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 . In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be directed to Farmersville/ Waggoner Ambulance. Burial will be in Rovey Cemetery in Farmersville.
