Lavon Marie (Reed) Streight, age 54 of Raymond passed away at 1:17 pm on Jan. 5, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.

 She was born in Taylorville, on May 17, 1963, the daughter of Duane “Biggen” and Lenora Ann Montgomery Steele.

She was a Nurse’s aide and an EMT-B , She had worked for Ft. Walton Beach Medical Center in Ft. Walton Beach,FL Lavon also was a member of the Raymond-Harvel Ambulance Squad and the Litchfield Volunteer Fire Dept. 

She married Preston Streight on June 12, 1981 in Palmer, IL.

She is survived by her parents and her Husband Preston of Raymond, daughters; Brandi Marie (Cory) Osmun of Ft. Walton and Jessie Lenora Eldridge of Raymond, IL and son, Steven Wesley (Kaylynn) Streight of Ft. Walton Beach, Fl. Also surviving are 8 Grandchildren and 6 sisters, Gerri Conrath of Taylorville, Cathy Reed of Auburn, Vicki Charles of Springfield, Krystal Steele of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Madonna Smittz of CA and Rebecca Reed of AZ.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday Jan. 9 at A Community of Faith Church in Raymond from 4 until 7pm

Funeral services will be held on Weds. Jan. 10 at the church at 10:00 am.

Burial will be held at the Camp Butler National Cemetery.
