Mary Kathryn Fix, 82 of Harvel, died Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 3:09 am at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Hough Funeral Home in Raymond on September 24, 2016 with Pastor Scott Busacker officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until time of service. Burial will be at Harvel Cemetery with a luncheon reception to follow at Trinity Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor her memory may make a contribution in her name to PAWS Care of Montgomery County.

She was born on June 29, 1934 in the family home in Harvel; the daughter of the late John and Louise Zimmerman Lebeck. She married Stanley L. Fix on September 15, 1960. Stanley was a World War II Army Air corp veteran and owner of the Fix Roofing & Siding company. He preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 1983.

Mary was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church which was once located in Harvel. She was a homemaker, assisted her husband in the roofing business and worked her entire life as a waitress at a number of area restaurants. She was an Avon representative and election judge for many years. She provided in-home assistance to a number of townsfolk. 

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her older siblings- sister Helen (Gene)Peck and brothers Melvin Lebeck, Ray Lebeck and Howard Lebeck. 

Survivors include a daughter, Lisa (Victor) Fix-Griffin of Peoria, IL and a son Lance Fix of Harvel, 3 grandchildren, Kira Griffin of Peoria, Devon Fix of Litchfield and Ian Henderson of FL. Her first great grandchild was born just a few days prior to her passing and she has several beloved nieces and nephews.
