Robert D. Frazier, 77 of Hillsboro passed away August 7, 2016 at his residence. He was born November16, 1939 in Beckemeyer IL to Luther Frazier and Dorothy (Sparkman) Frazier Johnson.

He was a graduate of Breese Community High School.

He owned Insurance Managers, an independent insurance agency, in Hillsboro for many years.

He was a U.S. veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserves for six years.

He was an all-state small school basketball player during high school.  He coached girls softball, enjoyed playing tennis, golf, and taking his wife fishing. He was a St. Louis Cardinal Fan. He was a Boy Scout leader in Breese IL and on the Hillsboro 4th of July Committee.

He was a member of the Hillsboro Presbyterian Church, past president of both the Breese IL Jaycees and Hillsboro Lions Club. He was on the Illinois Independent Insurance Agents board of directors, a member of Bremmer Wildlife Sanctuary.

He and his wife Judith enjoyed 57 years of marriage.

He is survived by a son Robert J. Frazier (wife Gwendolyn) of rural Irving, daughter Pamela J. Gittemeier (husband Todd) of Highland, daughter Debra L. Holt (husband Ron) of St. Jacob and son Alan C. Frazier (companion Mildred Anders) of Springfield. Grandchildren surviving Benjamin Frazier and companion Megan Baumgartner, Adrieanne Frazier, Eric Moroney and fiancée Alyssa Edwards, Grant Holt and Olivia Holt. One sister Donna Starke of Charlottesville, VA.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials can be made to Bremmer Wildlife Sanctuary

A private family service is planned at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
