Dalbert J JANSSEN

Dalbert James Janssen of Hillsboro formally Raymond and Harvel, passed away on April 19, 2019 at his home. He was born on August 8, 1962 in Pana Illinois the son of Paul and Gwen Beatty Janssen. He married Ginger Hartman on March 21, 1986 and later divorced.

He drove a truck for a number of local trucking companies and owned and operated DMC trucking, before retiring.

He was a strong supporter of the 2ndamendment and the NRA. He enjoyed shooting and reloading ammo. He was a supporter of St. Jude’s and the organ donor program, Gift of Hope.

He loved his kids and grandkids and animals especially Razz and Paisley.

Dalbert is survived by his two sons; Chris Janssen of Raymond, and Matthew (Rhonda Rowden) Janssen of Springfield two grandson Kyndall and Koltyn Janssen both of Raymond.

Also surviving are sisters; Debbie (Robert) Armes of Nokomis, Donna (Norman) Hemken of Hillsboro, brothers; Don (Angie) Janssen of Carlinville, Danny (Carla Smith) Janssen of Beecher City and many nieces, nephews and cousins and Aunts and Uncles. 

Besides his Parents, a daughter Dana Marie Janssen preceded him in death on Nov. 8, 2014.

Memorials in his name may be left to the Gift of Hope, NRA or the Montgomery Co PAWS, or Sangamon Co. Animal Shelter. 

Services will be held on Wednesday, April 24 at 7pm, friends may call from 5 until the time of services at Hough Funeral Home in Raymond.
Burial will be held at a later date in St. Raymond Cemetery in Raymond.
