Dorcas L. (Sturgeon) Fergusson 93, of Hillsboro was reunited in heaven with her husband, Robert “Bob” Fergusson of 67 years on Oct. 30, 2017. Her caring heart and desire to serve others guided her life whether as an administrative assistant at CIPS or Southern Illinois University, singing in the church choir, teaching bible studies, or serving in the Presbyterian Ladies Auxiliary. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by her son, Dean Fergusson and wife Carlann Fergusson of Orlando, Florida, her grandson Kyle Fergusson and wife Kristen Ashton of Seattle, Washington, and her granddaughter Kara Fergusson Unger and husband Greg Unger of Hillsboro, Oregon. She was one of ten children born to Earl and Eva (File) Sturgeon and is survived by her brothers Gene and Richard Sturgeon and her sister Mary Lou Vawter.
