Esther B. Colyer, of Hillsboro 88 passed away April 25, 2017 at Memorial Medical center in Springfield.

She was born in Bloomington IL on Oct 16, 1928 to Thomas A. and Esther B. Laird (Freed).

She worked Eureka Co in Bloomington for 30 years and Echlin Brake parts in Litchfield for over 25 years and at the Social Security office in Litchfield.

She is survived by her special friend of 44 years Alan Comer, Daughters Tamara L. Colyer, and Roberta L. husband Willie Jesse and Jo Morrison all of Bloomington and 2 grandchildren Sarah and Samantha Wert and William Jesse, and 3 great grandchildren Wyatt, Brooklyn and Evelyn. She is also survived by one sister Margaret husband W.T. Abbott of Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Mildred Freed in infancy, George Freed, Alice Kendall, Jacqueline Neal.

She is a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and VFW Aux. 454 of Bloomington

Funeral services will be Saturday April 29th at 11:00 A.M.at Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. James R. Hayes officiating pastor of St. James Baptist Church.

Visitation will begin Saturday at 10 A.M. until service time.

Burial will be in Bluff Cemetery in Hillsboro
