Gary Albert Lott, 77, of Farmersville passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at his home.
Mr. Lott was born December 23, 1941, in Carlinville to Lloyd Laverne and Irma Margaret (Taylor) Lott.
Gary married Judith Ellen Polston in Atwater on June 9, 1961, and she survives. Besides his wife he’s survived by a daughter, Shelly Lott of Farmersville; two sons, Brad (Stacy) Lott of Chatham and Terry (Kristin) Lott of Raymond; grandchildren, Elizabeth Binder, Haley Lott, Emily Cunningham, Mason Lott, Katie Washichek, Jordan Lott, and Sarah Lott; great grandchild, Nash Binder and one on the way. Besides his parents a brother preceded him in death.
Mr. Lott was a member of the Raymond Christian Church. He was a family man and the Bois D’Arc township trustee. Gary enjoyed building hot rods and drag racing having raced with the likes of Don Garlits, Chris Karamesines and many others in the early days at Alton, Springfield, Assumption and a number of other area tracks. Gary was very knowledgeable when it came to motors and mechanics. He was the founder of Alcomotive, Inc. Gary developed a gas to alcohol carburetor kit that even caught the attention of GM. He had worked as a Truck Driver for area trucking companies and also as a diesel mechanic for Warners in Springfield.
Funeral services will be held on June 29, 2019 at the Raymond Christian Church in Raymond at 10:00am.
Visitation will be held from 9-10am also on the 29th at the church.
