Jerry D. Huffman

Jerry D. Huffman 76 of Litchfield IL passed away March 11, 2019 at his residence.

He was born Feb. 7, 1943 in Noblesville IN to Lennie O. and Helen M. Huffman.

He married Jeanie Pollard on June 20, 1964 in Indianapolis IN.

He is survived by his wife Jeanie, children Robin Huffman and Jerry Huffman both of Litchfield, “Grandchildren” Cari, Heather, Kevin, Gracie, Jayden and Jordan, in laws Rose Pollard, Mary Ann Pollard, Norman, Ben & Kelly and Roger and Diane., Lots of Nieces and nephews survive including two he helped raise C.J. Pollard and Wayne Pollard, along with other family in Decatur IL, Lapel IN and Martinsville IN.

He worked construction in the Litchfield area and was a retired correctional officer from Graham Correctional Center in Hillsboro.

He was a graduate from Noblesville High School; he was a member of the Litchfield Moose Club and Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. He loved camping especially at Vandalia Lake, fishing from dawn to dusk, even catching an 8 ½ lb. bass that he had mounted; playing cards at the Moose with friends.

Jerrys family was very dear to him He loved each and every one, he was always there with a helping hand he enjoyed spending family time; including games and cards with all the children in the family especially with Kevin, Jayden and Jordan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Wilber, Neil, Robert,  Richard and Ronnie Huffman, sisters May Burns, Mildred Martin and Joann Brandenburg,

Memorials can be directed to Mt. Zion Lutheran Church or his family.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday March 23 2019 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield with a meal to follow.
