Kevin Lee Perkins

Kevin Lee Perkins 48 of Taylor Springs passed away Aug. 3, 2018 at St John’s Hospital in Springfield.

He was born Jan. 27, 1970 in Hillsboro to Robert “Bob” and Evelyn (Tingle) Perkins.

He was a welder and mechanic with the Boilermaker Union 363 out of Belleville IL. He and his father Bob owned and operated R.L. Perkins construction for several years.

He enjoyed digging for artifacts including arrowheads and bottles. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He had gifted his organs for transplant in hopes of helping others.

He married Glenda Woolard on Feb. 21, 1990 at the Free Methodist Church in Hillsboro.

He is survived by his wife Glenda, children Andrea (Danny) Young of Sorento, Andrew Parshall (Companion Kayla Miller) and Nathaniel Perkins (Companion Monica Shipman) both of Taylor Springs, grandchildren Grace, Gabrielle and Garrett Young of Sorento, Alaina Beeler of Witt, Ryan, Hayley and Bentley Parshall of Litchfield and Hannah Perkins of Taylor Springs and siblings Angela Stokes and Christopher Perkins both of Hillsboro, Karen Roberts of Springfield and Sandra Cox of Washington IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents one granddaughter Maci Parshall.

Funeral services will be Thursday Aug. 9 2018 at 10:00 AM at Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. David Beeler officiating, visitation will be Wednesday Aug. 8, 2018 from 5-8PM also at Hough’s.

Burial will be in Wares Grove Cemetery in Butler.
