Lois M (Cohoon) King

Lois M. King of Chatham, formerly of Raymond, passed away on November 8th, 2019 at St. John’s Hospice, Springfield. Lois was the daughter of the late John and Marie Cohoon Miller, and was born in Willow Hills, Illinois.

Lois was an accountant for Barry Nursing Homes, Poggenpohl Construction, and in later years was employed by the Illinois Department of Transportation Water Resource. Lois was a member of the St. Raymond’s Catholic Church, along with the St. Raymond’s Altar & Rosary Society.

She married Charles (Carl) King on November 9th, 1945. Lois was preceded in death by her husband Carl and their beloved daughter Sharon (Sherry) King. Several nieces and nephews also survive her.

Lois is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law by Love, Larry and Deb Krager of Harvel, Illinois along with 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A grandson and great grandson preceded her in death also.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Raymond’s Catholic Church, Raymond, Illinois on Saturday, November 16th at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.
