Philip Ray Crouch 67 of Coffeen passed away Oct 1, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Seoul Korea on April 15, 1952 to Ernest “Ernie’ and Wilda (Wolfe) Crouch. He was a 1971 graduate of Hillsboro High School and graduated a registered nurse cum laude from SIUE. He was a correctional officer in Vandalia Correctional Center for 3 years, the served 25 years in the US Navy, he was a Navy Hospital Corpsman retiring BSN/RN in 1997; he worked as an RN for the Department of Health in Hillsboro, Hillsboro and Vandalia Rehabilitation Center and Vandalia Terrace and Health care and Taylorville Correctional Center. He was a member of the Coffeen United Methodist Church, 4-H instructor and trainer and a member of the Coffeen Fire Department and loved his horses. He married Edith Malate Corsino in 1992. He is survived by his wife, one brother John (Joan) Crouch of Fox Point WI and one sister Rosina (Dan) Rohrs of Greenville IL, six nieces and nephews Sarah McNeal of Redwood CA, Andrew Rohrs of Floresville TX, Sheila Moreta of Honolulu HI, John David Crouch Jr of Charlotte NC, Jonathan Farrar of Milwaukee WI, Maxwell Crouch of Milwaukee WI. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be Sunday Oct. 6 2019 at 3:00 PM at Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. Dr. John Ray officiating, visitation will be from 1 until service time. Burial will be in Olive Hill Cemetery in Coffeen. Military rites will be conducted graveside by the Taylor Springs VFW #1306 and Irving American Legion Post #425 Memorials can be directed to the Coffeen United Methodist Church
