Roger Alan German, 74, of Farmersville, passed away on August 5, 2018, at his home.
He was born on April 12, 1944, in Taylorville, the son of the late Mervin William and Elizabeth Irene Funderburk German.
He served in the US Army from April 1961 until May of 1964
He married Anita D. Howard in Alton on December 6, 1970
He and his wife owned a vending repair company for a number of years and most recently he delivered RV’s from the factory to the dealer all cross the Nation.
Besides his wife Anita, he is survived by a son, Dennis (Teresa) German of Springfield, daughter Stephanie (Jeffery) Gillespie of Auburn, Tara German of Farmersville, son Bryan Neal of Festus, Mo and son Roger German Jr. of Scottdale, PA also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. 3 sisters Janet (Bill) Jones of Assumption, Luwanna (Jim) Manuel of Stonington, Brenda (Mory) Washburn of Blue Mound. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers; Lester, Lanny, Norman and Robert.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Hough Memorial Home in Farmersville on Thursday, August 9, 2018. Funeral services will be held, at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield at 1:00pm.
