Sharon "Sherry" L. (Purcell) Derry

Sharon “Sherry” L. Purcell Derry 70 of Witt passed away July 10, 2019 in Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born August 7, 1948 in Hillsboro to William Purcell Jr. and Frances (Tucker) Purcell.

She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and worked at Illinois Emergency Management Agency in Springfield for over 20 years.

She is survived by her children Michael Derry of Witt, Laura Drone of Springfield, Carl Drone of Springfield, Craig Drone of Langleyville IL and Evelyn Johnson of Monroe Louisiana, 6 grandchildren one brother William “Bill” (Mary) Purcell III of Surprise Arizona and one sister Marsha Purcell of Sun City Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial service will be held Tuesday July 16, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. James Hayes officiating pastor of St. James Baptist Church in Hillsboro.
