Teresa Joyce Claybrook of Park Forest died at 9:45 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 12, at St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31, at Salem Baptist Church, located at 11800 South Indiana Avenue in Chicago. Memorial services will also be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, at St. James Baptist Church with Pastor James R. Hayes officiating. St. James Baptist is located at 1101 East Seward Street in Hillsboro. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is helping the family with local arrangements.
Ms. Claybrook was born on April, 31, 1955, in Hillsboro, to Frank Claybrook and Sarah Lucille Hayes. She graduated from Hillsboro High School and later from the University of Illinois in Champaign, where she received a bachelors of science degree in education. Ms. Claybrook worked for the social security administration office for over 30 years and was retired for six. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church, where she was in the choir.
Ms. Claybrook is survived by her sisters, Billie (the late Herman) Greene, Mary (the late Norman) Lee, Beatrice McCrary, Sheila (Jackie) Macon and Paulette Stark; brothers, Terry Claybrook and Michael (Michelle) Claybrook; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Frank Joseph and Larry Dean Claybrook; and sisters, Patricia and Rita Claybrook.
