Andrea "Kathy" K (Kappel) Summers

Andrea Kathryn "Kathy" (Kappel) Pennock Summers, age 72, of Raymond, Passed away at her home. On September 4th

She was born June 17, 1948, in Alton, the daughter of Adrian and Doris (Talkington) Kappel.

She married Arnold Pennock and later married Dale R. Summers on September 5, 2001.

She had worked and managed the Spring Air Café and later owned and operated the White Cottage Café in Raymond.

Kathy took an active part in her community; she was currently serving as a Village Trustee and had proudly done so for the last 13 years. She had served on nearly every committee and was currently head of the Finance Committee and served on the Water and Sewer and Economic Development Committees, she was active in the Business and Professional Women's group, and the Women of the Moose Lodge 1259 in Carlinville and the American Legion Aux Post 299

Surviving are two sons; Robert wife Tracy Pennock of Raymond and Adrian Pennock of Morrisonville. four grandchildren, Adam wife Kayla Pennock of Litchfield, Emma Pennock of Taylorville Logan Pennock of Morrisonville, Abby Owens of Farmersville, two great grand children Jace and Josie.

Also surviving is her companion Larry Lewis of Raymond and her three sisters, Ruth (Dan) Goodrich of Shipman, Joan Hartsock of Brighton, Amy (Aaron) McWard of Raymond; one brother in law, Jim "Toby" Lush of Carlinville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, her husband Dale, sisters, Mary Lush and Teresa Jean Kappel; nephew, Danny Goodrich; and brother in law, Randy Hartsock. precede her in death
Memorials in Kathy's name may be given to the Women of the Moose lodge 1259 in Carlinville, or the Raymond-Harvel Ambulance.

Visitation will be at Hough Funeral Home in Raymond from 4-6pm on Thursday September 10, 2020, following visitation a Celebration of life service, officiated by Tom Mulch will be held at 6:00 pm.

A private burial service will be at the Green Pond Cemetery, Pearl, Pike County, IL. at a later date
