Anna V. (Jackson) Ragland

Anna V. Ragland, age 99, of Litchfield Illinois passed away July 27 2020 at Montgomery Nursing and Rehab in Hillsboro.  

She was born March 31, 1921 in Cookeville Tennessee, the daughter of Jube Cummings and Daisy May Huddleston Jackson. 

Mrs. Ragland was an excellent cook, and was known especially for her pies, she worked at many area restaurants such as Jacks Corner, Owens, and The Gardens. She married Lester George Ragland in St. Charles Missouri in 1939 he preceded her in death in 2000. 

She is survived by her son Norman Paul wife Shirley Ragland of Litchfield, daughter Virginia husband Robert Diesselhorst of Coffeen. She is grandma to 11 Grand children, 25 Great Grandchildren and 16 Great Great Grand children.  

Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, David Ragland, Granddaughter Jamie Odle, Grandson Robert Diesselhorst, Grandson Michael McDaniel, siblings Virble D. Jackson, Lola B. Robinson, Thelma Jean Duff, Jo Fischer and Dovie E. Carroll.

She was a member of the Christian Church of Litchfield. 

Graveside services at Cedar Ridge Cemetery will be held on Monday August 3, 2020 at Noon, the family will greet friends and family from 11:00am until the time of the service.

Those planning to attend are asked to follow the CDC and IDPH guidelines of wearing a mask and maintain social distancing also if you are symptomatic of a flu like illness or are someone with a compromised immune system to refrain from attending.
