Audrey Hiller Obituary

Audrey M. Hiller, age 91, of Hillsboro, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 3:17 PM at Litchfield Health and Rehabilitation Center.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Hiller will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro with Rev. Breck Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Wares Grove Cemetery in Butler. A Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. All friends and family are welcome to attend the funeral and/or visitation.

Audrey was born on October 6, 1933, in Rountree Township, to the late Clarence Michael and Alice Ruth (Palmer) Keiser. The former Miss Audrey Keiser became Mrs. Hiller when she married her love, Russell F. Hiller, on June 8, 1952, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Harvel. He has since preceded her in death on December 10, 2014.

She graduated from Raymond High School in 1951. Audrey worked for the U.S. Government at the Finance Center in Indianapolis, which is where Russell and her met. Once they came back to Hillsboro they opened and operated Hiller Gift and Stationery for several years. Audrey eventually came to work for the Montgomery County Highway Department as a secretary. She was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hillsboro and served with the Latter Rain Ministries.

Audrey is survived by her beloved children; Terry Hiller (Marsha) of Greenville, Mike Hiller (Pam) of Hillsboro, Debbie Clayton of Springfield, and Jeff Hiller (Sharri) of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Joel Hiller (Bonnie), Brittany Dooly (Matthew), Katie Schmollinger (Clint), Rhonda Hedden (Alex), Michael Hiller (Kayla), Mackenzie Hungerford (Brandon), Andrew Hiller, Whitney Reynolds (Chris), Shelby Martincic (Nathan), Chelsey Green (Peter) , Elizabeth Keller (friend Cordell), Jeremy Heard (friend Amanda), John Hiller (Hannah) and Monica Hinton (Jeff);  30 great-grandchildren and counting; her brother Allen Keiser of North Carolina, and sister Sandra Ketchum of Georgia.

Mrs. Hiller was preceded in death by her parents, husband Mr. Russell Hiller; a granddaughter-in-law Grace (Nee Young) Hiller; her brother Robert Keiser; a daughter-in-law Jane E. (Smith) Hiller; and grandson-in-law Michael J. Keller.

Memorials in Mrs. Audrey Hiller’s honor may be directed towards the First Presbyterian Church of Hillsboro.
