Barbara Ann Gudgel, 85, of Waggoner died at 4:45a.m. July 10, 2021 at the St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.  

She was born Nov. 12, 1935 in Springfield, the daughter of Edwin and Eva (Walsmith) Sanders.

She was a homemaker and had worked at Kmart in Springfield, she also was an EMT for the Farmersville Waggoner Ambulance service for 10 yrs and

She married William Andrew Gudgel on Dec. 25, 1950.

She is survived by her children Linda (Jim) McGinnis of Edgewater, Fl, Gary (Becky) Gudgel of Mt. Olive, Lois ( Mac) McCarson of San Jose, IL and Laura ( Roy) Farrar of Waggoner, IL 17 Grand Children, 17 Great Grand Children and 1 Great Grand Child.  A sister, Hazel Gudgel of Springfield and brother in law Richard Gudgel of Springfield also survive;

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sons Larry and Dale and her siblings Leonard Sanders, Howard Sanders, George Sanders, Morris Sanders, Lorraine Adams, Ruby Volentine, Nillie Gill, Edna Sanders, and Lela Bell-Leach.

Visitation will be held on Monday July 19, 2021 from 10 to 11 a.m. Hough Memorial Home in Farmersville and  Funeral Services will be held at 11am  with Pastor Dave Ziegenbein, officiating.

Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Springfield.
