Benjamin E. Ballhurst

Benjamin Eugene Ballhurst, 37, of Hillsboro, died on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021. 

Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mr. Ballhurst was born on Dec. 21, 1983, in Springfield, to Wendy Sue and Steven Francis Ballhurst. He was a Christian; his favorite verse was Psalm 23. Mr. Ballhurst was employed at Schutt Manufacturing as a welding and computer programming robotic welder. He enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, taking care of Max and loving his fiancé.

Mr. Ballhurst is survived by his mother; daughter, Kylee Breanne Ballhurst of Sorento; fiancé, Leanne Tumpach; step-daughters, Emily (Cary Smith) Maguire and Alexis (Tristan) Lott; siblings, Nicholas Steven Ballhurst of Hillsboro; step-sister, Nicole Ballhurst of Alton; grandparents, Don and Barbara Walker of Butler; and nephew, Drew Nicholas Ballhurst of Hillsboro.

He was preceded in death by his father.

A celebration of life will be held at the Butler community Center in Butler Dec. 3, 2021 from 3:00-8:00 PM
