Bernice Smith

Bernice Marie Smith 65 of Litchfield passed away May 20, 2021 at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield. She was born Feb. 2, 1956 in Carlinville IL to Richard and Helen Cravens Smith. She worked at Montgomery Nursing and rehab in housekeeping. She was a member of the Sorrento Baptist church. She loved playing bingo and Elvis Presley. She is survived by one son William (Blaire) Crays of Florida, and siblings Donna (Rick) McDonald of Litchfield, Delbert (Linda) Smith of Litchfield, Ronnie Gilbert of Litchfield, Christina (Tim) Love of Litchfield, one granddaughter Bailey Crays, two step grandchildren Lilly and Layden LeMay and one great grandchild Marley Chance. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Gilbert Smith. Funeral services will be Tuesday May 25, 2021 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Lynwood Brown officiating, visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time at Hough & Sons Funeral home in Hillsboro. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield. Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is charge of arrangements.
