Carol (Henderson) Rhodes

Carol Ann Henderson Rhodes, 84, of Taylorville died Sunday, November 29, 2020, at Taylorville Care Center.

She was born the daughter of Elmer "Hank" and Gladys Herzog Henderson in Raymond on August 25, 1936.

She worked as a Nurses Aide in the OB Department of St. Vincent Hospital in Taylorville for 45 yrs and was proud of the fact that she took care of the last baby to be born there.
She was a caring person who took in many stray dogs and cats, she enjoyed her family and traveling.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen husband James Dowdy of Edinburg and son, Mark Rhodes of Taylorville, 4 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren survive as well. She also is survived by a sister, Donna Waterman, of Taylorville.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Henderson Oct. 18, 2007 and Ronald "Pete" Henderson January 24, 2008

Memorials may be sent to Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylorville, or Asbury Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Hough Funeral Home in Raymond on Saturday Dec. 5, 2020 from 1-2 pm Funeral Services will be held at 2.

Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery in Raymond.
IDPH guild-lines will be followed, those who plan on attending are encouraged to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
