Charles R. Legg

Charles Richard Legg, age 73, of Hillsboro, passed away June 22, 2024, at his residence.

Charles was born on March 21, 1951, in East St. Louis to his parents Robert and Cleda (Recklien) Legg.

He graduated from Collinsville High School and has received a Bachelor’s Degree. Charles worked as a Social Worker in the Alhambra and Taylor Springs area.

He married Theresa Wheeling on June 21, 2003, and she preceded him in death on October 21, 2021.

Surviving Charles are his children, Chas (Wife, Marla) Legg and Ashley (Husband, Mike) Huff, both of Greenville, as well as 4 grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew, Bradley, and Heidi Huff, and 3 step-grandchildren, Conner Reeves, Josh and Lillian Phillips.

Besides his wife and parents, Charles was preceded in death by his siblings Robert, James, Vickie, and Larry.

Memorials in Charles’s honor may be directed to either Paws Care in Hillsboro or the Montgomery County Cancer Association (MCCA).

Private family services are being held.
