Chester Thomas Friesland 56 of Walshville passed away Sept. 4, 2018 in Hillsboro.
He was born in Litchfield IL on Dec. 25, 1961to Melvin A. and Blanche Agney Friesland.
He worked locally as a logger; he loved the outdoors and was at home in the woods, arrowhead hunting, mushroom hunting, ginseng hunting and fishing.
He was married to Jenny Helm and they later divorced.
He is survived by two sons Michael Friesland of Walshville and DJ Friesland of Mt. Olive and one daughter Michelle Ollenberger of Fresno Ca., two grandchildren Ciara Lynn and Nevaeh Kay, Brothers Melvin Friesland Jr., Oren G. Friesland and John R. Friesland and sisters Elsie Chapps, Leota Blevins, Charlotte Ferguson, Maggie Sidener, Margery Moulton and Roxie Tyler.
He was preceded in death by his parents three brothers Francis, Charles and George Friesland and one sister Lena Daisy Friesland.
Cremation rites were accorded and a private family burial will be held at a later date.
