Claude “Frog” William Snider, age 84, of Fillmore, passed away January 27, 2025, at Hillsboro Health.
A Visitation Service will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro from 4:00 – 6:00 PM.
Claude was born on October 18, 1940, in Coffeen, Illinois to his parents John W. and Iona (Traylor) Snider. He spent his life working as a Union Laborer and was a part of the Local 1084 Labor Hall and had just received his 60 year membership certificate for his dedication to his work. Claude loved his dogs and had a passion for camping. He loved to sit down and have a coffee with friends. Claude was one of a kind.
Claude married Judith Chumley and they later divorced. He then married Barbara Bailey and she preceded him in death on December 9, 2020.
Claude is survived by his children Terri Theresa Romero of Coffeen, Scott Snider of Mesa, AR., Tina Snider of Coffeen, and Wade Dean Snider of Coffeen, 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, as well as 4 great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son Stacey Snider, granddaughter Breezy Romero and a great-grandson Angelo Romero. He is also preceded by siblings John Snider, Lila Warren, Ora May Hatcher and his twin brother Cloyde “C.O.” Snider.
