Cody Lee Talkington

Cody Lee Talkington, age 26, of Farmersville, passed away Friday, December 27, 2024, in Springfield.

Cody was born on June 29, 1998, in Springfield, Illinois to his parents Christopher L. Talkington and Amanda L. (Fultz) Talkington.

He graduated from Lincolnwood High School. Cody was the light in everyone’s lives that knew him. With a smile so infectious, you could not help but to smile right back at Cody. He enjoyed watching TV, and enjoyed lots of different shows, but most notably was the show ‘Bluey’ and anything else that would make him laugh.

Cody is survived by his parents Amanda L. (William “Bill” Leigh) Talkington of Farmersville and Christopher L. (Kelly Raison) Talkington of Virden, his siblings Connor and Cory Talkington of Farmersville, half-siblings Caitlynn Talkington of Farmersville and Christopher (Jessica) Talkington of Pawnee, his grandparents Gary and Sue Fultz of Farmersville, and James Talkington of Girard, his aunt Melissa Fultz and cousin Maya Tarelo of Farmersville, two nephews, as well as several other family members and loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother Kathe Talkington and step-grandmother Rose Talkington as well as many loved ones.

Memorials in Cody’s honor may be directed to the Waggoner/Farmersville Ambulance or to the family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the KC Hall in Farmersville on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 4:00 - 6:00 PM.

Hough Memorial Home in Farmersville is in charge of arrangements.
