Danny Wayne Caudle

Danny Wayne Caudle, age 73, of Atwater, passed away on December 2, 2024, at his home surrounded by loved ones.

Danny was born in Litchfield, Illinois on November 3, 1951, to his parents Theodore and Pauline (Seaton) Caudle.

Danny worked for Fiat Allis for 15 years. He also did custom hay bailing with his father. Danny did some farming of his own and worked for area farmers. He served in the US Navy from 1970-1974 and was in the reserves through 1978. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Christian Church and Carlinville American Legion.

He married the love of his life, Susie Allen on May 3, 1973, and she survives him.

Danny was a family-man and loved the outdoors. Christmas was his favorite holiday; he took pride in being the best “gag” gift giver. He was also an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.

Besides his wife, Danny is survived by his children Kendra (Bob) Lane of Butler and Kami (Joe) Richardson of Festus, Missouri, as well as his grandchildren Andon Stayton, Jack Stayton, and Henry Eaton.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Dennis and Darrell Caudle.

Memorials in Danny’s honor may be directed towards the Carlinville Area Hospital or Pleasant Hill Christian Church in Raymond.

A memorial service for Danny will be held on December 13, 2024, at 7:00 P.M. at Pleasant Hill Christian Church. A visitation will begin at 5:00 until the time of service. A family burial will be in Bethel Ridge Cemetery at a later date.
