Dolores I. (Lueking) Jurgena

Dolores I. (Lueking) Jurgena, 93, of Irving, passed away at her residence on July 2, 2023.

She was born on June 29, 1930 in Springfield, Illinois to her parents Arthur and Nina Mable (Jones) Lueking.

She graduated from Lanphier High School in Springfield IL; she worked for the Illinois Department of Revenue before retiring and becoming a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran church in Irving. She was a member of the Home Extension in Hillsboro and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.

Dolores married Harold W. Jurgena on August 10, 1965, and he preceded her in death on May 13, 2021.

She is survived by one son William “Bill” (Tracy) Jurgena of Irving and one daughter Carol (Frank) Elam of Hillsboro. Dolores is also survived by 6 grandchildren; Angela (Alban) Kaculi, Katie (Luke) Stewart, Christopher (Hannah) Jurgena, Sarah (Cory) McFarlane, Susan (Edward) Stuart, and Melissa (Baxter) Grace, as well as 9 great-grandchildren: Emmett, Pax, Saylor, Myles, Addaline, Isabelle, Elise, Andrew, and Ema.

Besides her husband Harold, she was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson Martin Jurgena and one brother Kenneth Lueking.

Private family funeral services will be held.
