Dolores Alvina Lemon

Dolores Alvina Lemon, of Litchfield, formerly of Butler, passed away May 5, 2024, at St. John's Hospital, Springfield.

Funeral services will be held at Noon, Wednesday, May 8, at Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will be in Cedar Ridge Cemetery, Honey Bend.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home the hour prior to the service.

Born March 8, 1935, near Litchfield, she was a daughter of Arthur and Alvina (Schmidt) Werner.  She was a farm wife who worked side by side with her husband.

She married Frank Leroy Lemon June 23, 1951 and he preceded her on Dec. 22, 2007.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Archer of Litchfield; 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; two brothers, Larry Werner of Litchfield and Bud Werner of WI; three sisters, Judith (Karl) Hardt of Litchfield, Linda Billehus of MO, and Anna Marie Hill of AZ.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Lee Lemon, a sister Florence and a brother Clarence both in infancy, a sister Roberta Requath and a sister Shirley Crawford.

Memorials are suggested to the Montgomery County Cancer Association.
