Donald Groetecke

Donald Groetecke 70 of Taylor Springs passed away Sept 2, 2020.

He was born Jan 16, 1950 in East St Louis to Harry and Jean Groetecke.

He worked at Olin Brass in Alton as an industrial electrician. He was a member of the United Steelworkers of America and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

He Married Joann Goleaner and she survives.

He is survived by four sons Donnie, Ronnie, Michael and Aaron Groetecke, five grandchildren and one brother Roderick Groetecke.

He was preceded in death by one brother Howard Groetecke and one sister Marion Boyer.

A memorial service will be Thursday Sept 10, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro with a visitation from 11:00 AM until service time.

Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Belleville IL.

We are encouraging everyone to follow CDC guidelines with the use of masks and social distancing.
