Earl R. McCormick 70 of Greenville passed away Nov. 17, 2019 at HSHS Holy Family Hospital in Greenville.
He was born on Nov. 2 1949 in Carrollton IL to James and Clara Viola (Cummings) McCormick.
He graduated from Mulberry Grove High School in 1967. He got his associates degree in Agriculture mechanics from Wabash Valley College in Mount Carmel IL.
He was a lifelong farmer and worked a CIPS in Coffeen Power plant in maintenance. He served in the U.S. Marines and local AMVETS. He enjoyed horseback riding and raccoon hunting.
He married Deborah Snow on July 4, 1970 and she survives.
Surviving are two sons Michael (Brandy) McCormick of Greenville and Nathan (Kari) McCormick of Coffeen, four grandsons Gavin Heard, Michael “Jimmy’ McCormick, Zachary McCormick and Noah McCormick, along with siblings Marcia Schmollinger, Linda Sessions, Audrey Kaiser, Donna Nicholas, Darrell McCormick and Lonnie McCormick and several Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Kenny McCormick.
A visitation will be held at Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Saturday Nov. 23, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM followed by a grave side service at Liberty Cemetery in Mulberry Grove, with military rites conducted by Mulberry Grove American Legion.
