Edna Emma Nora (Keiser) Benning

Edna Emma Nora Benning , age 101, of Raymond passed away March 25, 2020 at Hillsboro Area Hospital in Hillsboro surrounded by her family. 

Edna was born June 3, 1918 in Rountree, the daughter of Albert and Mary Gerhards Keiser. She married Frank William Benning on June 21, 1936 and he preceded her in death on March 8, 2008. 

Mrs. Benning was a farm wife and homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Harvel and a member of the Ladies Aid there.  She was also a member of the Senior Achievers, the Montgomery County Senior Citizens, Home Arts, and Quilters Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Wathern of Raymond, Daughter in Law, Marti Benning of Raymond, Son in Law, Charlie Korunka of Benld. Also surviving are 8 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, and 8 Great-Great Grandchildren.  Besides her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter Wilma Korunka and son Darrell Benning and one Great-Great Granddaughter. 3 sisters; Elsie Meiners, Christina Meiners, Alberta Zupanci and 2 brothers John Keiser and Alfred Keiser preceded her in death.

Private Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church with burial in Asbury Cemetery in Raymond.

A Celebration of Life Public Service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be left to the Church, Raymond/Harvel Ambulance or Project Third Day-Panhandle
