Evelyn Cruthis

Evelyn Nadine Cruthis of Litchfield passed away On August 3, 2023. She was born on July 24, 1946, in New Douglas, Illinois; the daughter of Charles A. and Leona J. Buessner Sievers. She first married John W. Goldacker in 1966. Evelyn later wed Gerald Rodney Cruthis on December 29, 1969, in Valdosta, Georgia; he preceded her in death on June 13, 1997.
Evelyn was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield; she was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, and working outside, but most of all she enjoyed being with her family and spending precious time with her grandchildren.
She and her husband Rodney operated the Wabash Depot in Litchfield for a number of years.
Evelyn is survived by her children John Goldacker and his wife Jill of Jerseyville, her daughter Jody and her husband Joe Corso of Raymond; her twin sons, Jerry and his wife Kaci Cruthis of Litchfield and Joe and his wife Donna Cruthis of Edwardsville; also surviving are her grandchildren, Brendan, Baylee, Alex and Nathan Goldacker, Charlie and Sally Corso; Camryn and Lauren Cruthis; and Charlotte and Luke Cruthis. She is also survived by her sister, Alice Mancewicz of Alton.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister Leona Sievers.

Private family services will be held at a later time.
