Gary Courtney Obituary
Gary Lane Courtney, 77, of Raymond, Illinois, passed away at 3:33pm Friday, September 11, 2020 at his daughters home in Litchfield.
He was born on February 4, 1943 in Paducah to Avery and Irene (Barclay) Courtney. Gary worked as a truck driver for Smith Distributors in Raymond and had served in the United States Army. He was of the Baptist faith.
Gary is survived by his wife, Karen Kaminski Courtney of Raymond; four daughters, Jessica Cloe of Bethalto, Illinois, Kari Brown husband Kyle of Lake County, Illinois, Heather husband Robert McGill of Litchfield, Illinois, and Haley Hatfield of Hillsboro, Illinois; one son, Ben (Jamie Gunning) Jackson of Palmyra, Illinois; one sister, Beverly (Pat) Haygood of Union City, Tennessee; one brother, Larry (Julia) Courtney of Arlington; 15 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, Avery and Irene Courtney, preceded him in death.
The funeral services for Gary Courtney will be private, with Rev. Ian Carrico officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery in Arlington, KY.
Hough Funeral Home in Raymond assisted the family locally.
