Ginger Louise (Hartman) Janssen

It is with great sorrow; we announce the passing of Ginger Louis Janssen (Hartman).
Ginger passed away in Springfield, IL at St. John's Hospital on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 11:06pm at the age of 59.
Ginger was born in Hillsboro, IL on October 25, 1963, the daughter of Harold and Helen Allen Hartman.
She attended school in Raymond and later attended school at Barron Collier High in Naples, FL where she graduated with the class of 1982.
She married Dalbert Janssen in Raymond on March 21, 1986 which later ended in divorce.

She is survived by her sons, Chris Janssen of Raymond and Matt (Tasha) Janssen of Virden, 2 grandsons; Kyndall and Koltyn Janssen both of Raymond, 2 sisters Cheryl Hartman of FL and Amy (husband, Steve) Zimmerly of MO and her partner in crime, Randy Mullen of Hillsboro and his daughter Chelsea Mullen.
Ginger is now reunited in heaven with her beautiful daughter Dana Marie Janssen who preceded her on November 8, 2014, her parents Harold and Helen, Brother Gary, and former husband Dalbert.

She was an avid lover of cats, and was known for feeding and caring for any cat that came to her doorstep. She was a compassionate soul who would often care for those around her who were in need, making a career of her caring nature as a Macoupin County Health Department and CEFS in Hillsboro as a transport driver.
She had served as an EMT for the Raymond-Harvel Ambulance Service for many years and had worked as a waitress for several area restaurants.
Many of her favorite pastimes included, going to the beach, traveling to Branson and Knoxville, TN, watching and attending any Cardinal game. Most of all, she was the happiest when she was able to spend time with her beloved grandchildren and family. She will be greatly missed by all the people whose lives she touched.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, August 12th at Hough Funeral Home in Raymond, IL a visitation for friends and family will be held from 10 am until the time of the service, Pastor Ron Butler will be officiating.
