Helen Edna Aldridge, 96, passed away on April 02, 2021 at 10:23 am Integrity Healthcare in Alton.
Mrs. Aldridge was born on December 30, 1924 in Farmersville, IL daughter of Herman A. and Bertha Heien Fuchs. She was baptized January 11, 1925, confirmed April 10, 1938, and married May 9, 1948 to Charles "Henry" Albert Aldridge, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Farmersville. Charles preceded her in death on August 8, 1979. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sisters; Dolores Clack and Norma Stenbeck, brothers; Omar Fuchs, Victor Fuchs, Harvey Fuchs and step-daughter Sharon Wainscott.
Helen is survived by a stepson Jerold wife Charlotte Aldridge of Decatur, Step Grandchildren, Mark wife Beth, Melanie husband Chris, Mindy husband Tony; 9 great granddaughters; 15 nieces and nephews.
For 43 years, Helen worked as a Administrative Assistant 34 of which were with the State of Illinois Department of Transportation before she retired on December 30, 1984. .
Memorial in her memory may be left to the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church or Habitat for Humanities
Visitation will be held from 10-11:00am on Friday April 9th
A funeral service will be held at 11am in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Farmersville, with Pastor Mark Stenbeck officiating. Burial will follow at Rovey Cemetery in Farmersville, IL.
