Helen E. (Catalano) Thomas

Helen E. (Catalano) Thomas 66 of Witt passed away July 22, 2024 at her residence.

She was born April 7, 1958 in Springfield IL to Joe and Alice (Vaniter) Catalano.

She was a graduate of Lanphier High School in Springfield and cosmetology school.

She was a hairdresser in Springfield for many years before becoming a home health caregiver. Helen enjoyed baking and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

She married Ronald Thomas on Sept. 26, 1981 and he preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 1996.

Helen is survived by her children Ronald Thomas Jr., of Irving Nicholas Thomas of Irving, Corrine Settles of Springfield and Kimberly McCarty of Irving, grandchildren Eli Eugene Thomas, Amelia Nicole Thomas, Waylon Kristopher Thomas Haley Sonneborn and Anna McGuire along with 4 brothers.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband Ronald, son Jerimah Thomas in 1982, three brothers and seven sisters.

Visitation will be Saturday July 27, 2024 from 10:00 AM until service time.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 12:00 PM at Hough & Sons funeral Home in Hillsboro.

Burial will be in Irving Cemetery in Irving.
